doesn't want to go to his dentist's dinner party, decides to skip out and
shop for waiters' uniforms instead. He buys snazzy matching shirts for Ted
and himself, but Ted's is torn. Feelings are hurt...Ted doesn't want the
shirt, Larry doesn't like the Tin Man, the dentist is upset and chaos ensues.
Directed by Robert B. Weide
EPISODE 2 • "THE BENADRYL BROWNIE"
Larry and Cheryl plan a dinner party with the chef from his restaurant.
Due to poor reception on Larry's new cell phone, a simple misunderstanding
has disastrous consequences for Richard's girlfriend. Larry tries to make it
up to her with a peace offering of homemade brownies. After a run in with
the TV remote guy, Larry is accused of being a "tip-profiler."
Directed by Larry Charles
EPISODE 3 • "CLUB SODA AND SALT"
Dismayed over the dinner party fiasco, the chef quits Larry's restaurant,
so the investors scramble to find a replacement. Ted recommends his
personal chef but Larry feels the food is "a little too saucy." Larry, jealous
over Cheryl's new male friend, accompanies her to see "Brad" in "Tony and
Tina's Wedding." Cheryl is non-plussed by Larry's fancy—albeit somewhat
intrusive—new recipe for stain removal.
Directed by Robert B. Weide
EPISODE 4 • "THE NANNY FROM HELL"
Larry commits a faux pas after a pool party, insulting Hugh, one of the
restaurant's investors. Then, during a screening of Richard Lewis's
HBO Special, Larry goes toe to toe with Hugh's young son. Based on
Larry's recommendation, Jeff and Susie interview the "nanny from hell,"
who admits that she likes to pet horses, enjoys a good corndog and takes
baths with her socks on.
Directed by Larry Charles
EPISODE 5 • "THE TERRORIST ATTACK"
With the rumored threat of a terrorist attack, Larry can't decide whether
to leave town or attend an Alanis Morissette benefit concert for Cheryl's
pet cause. Larry keeps snubbing Paul Reiser's wife, Mindy, and attempts
a reconciliation by revealing confidential information. Later, Alanis makes
the mistake of confiding in the loose-lipped Larry, who has pissed off Mindy
yet again by ditching her for Martin Short.
Directed by Robert B. Weide
EPISODE 6 • "THE SPECIAL SECTION"
There's a death in Larry's family while he's shooting a Scorsese film in
New York, and he doesn't find out about it until two days after the funeral.
After the initial shock, he uses his loss to evade a number of undesirable
social events. Richard Lewis accuses Larry of East-Indiangiving his meditation
mantra, and Larry is incensed to hear that the cemetery has a 'Special section."
