COMPENSATION OF 500 CEOs
Median pay topped $8 million for companies with the
same CEOs in 2006 and 2007. But many of the highest-
paid executives in each sector made many multiples of
that last year, even as the economy slowed consider-
ably and shareholder wealth evaporated in several
corners of corporate America.
