Everything that you have done has led up to what you are now. Everything you do now will lead up to what you will be. Votes: 0

All states of mind have different views. On the higher plateau, opportunities will open to you because you can see them. Votes: 0

Karma will lead you to a larger more expansive happier view or a dinger darker view. That view will enable you to make choices and have experiences. Votes: 0

Karma is engendered by states of mind. If you are in a happy state of mind, that will engender one kind of karma. If you are in an unhappy state of mind, that will engender another kind of karma. Votes: 0

The state of mind that you are in causes you to act in a certain way. Your actions will bear results. The ultimate result of all karmas and actions is state of mind. You are your state of mind. Votes: 0

Karma means that through your thoughts and feelings and actions, you are generating a state of mind. That state of mind has a view. That view will cause things to happen to you or not happen to you. Votes: 0

It is best to think of karma, not so much in terms of physical action, but as waveforms of vibratory energy. Votes: 0

This lifetime right now you have a specific destiny. You are destined to die at a certain time, to make a certain amount of money, to have certain associations and friendships. Votes: 0

Karma exists within causality. It is three-dimensional. Free will exists outside of causality; it is not bound by karma. Votes: 0

If there wasn't a way around the samskaras, no one would ever become enlightened. Votes: 0

Free will exists and operates outside causality. It is not hooked to karma. Free will is like a well that is on your property. You can choose to draw water from the well or not. Votes: 0

If you choose to draw from the inner well of free will, then you can make choices that are outside your current karmic patterns. Votes: 0

Free will exists within each of us. Most people choose not to use their free will, so consequently they rarely alter their karmic patterns. Votes: 0

With free will, we can modify, to a certain extent the chain of karma that has been set in motion by the karma of the previous moment. That is what free will really is, the ability to alter the sequence of karmic fate. Votes: 0

It is always possible to get into a higher state of mind. The way you get into a higher state of mind is by generating good karma. Votes: 0

The person who gives selflessly in this lifetime immediately goes into a better state of mind. That is instant karma. Votes: 0

Intent is all-important. Your intent determines what happens to you inwardly, in a karmic sense. Votes: 0

Everyone experiences desire. Desire is not bad. There is no good or bad from the point of view of karma. There is only structured reaction. Votes: 0

When you do things in a selfish way, let alone a destructive way, then you are bound by that karma. Your state of mind will go down. You will find yourself becoming depressed, nervous, anxious and upset. Votes: 0

Those whose primary concern is to destroy others are at the lowest level of development. Those who are only interested in their own satisfaction are farther along. Those who both do things for their own satisfaction and the satisfaction of others are even father along. Then there are saints who just constantly live for the welfare of others. Votes: 0

Selfless actions create a higher karma, which brings you into higher states of mind. When you are in higher states of mind you will see things that you never saw before. Votes: 0

You did something noble. This will cause a release of energy. It causes a vibratory shift. It means you are moving into a different plateau of consciousness. Votes: 0

If your motives are high and noble and your work is hard and you do a good job, then whatever the task is in your life, it will benefit you. Votes: 0

By practicing Buddhist Yoga, you can become happy, ecstatic and free in your current incarnation, even if you have never been that way before in any of your past lives. Votes: 0

Happiness is something that comes from creating good karma. The monk who feels that what they are doing is unpleasant is not really creating any good karma and will not have a better lifetime. Votes: 0

If you are not happier every day, if you don't see a progression of development, then you are certainly not practicing yoga or Buddhism and therefore you cannot be amassing any positive karma. Votes: 0

My favorite cause is the enlightenment of others. I think that is the best place to put money. You get the highest yield in terms of karma on your money. Votes: 0

A saint is someone who has been very selfless and, over a period of lifetimes, generated a tremendous amount of good karma, which has caused them to enter into very lovely states of mind. Votes: 0

Good karma leads to rebirth also. The desire for higher states of mind is a desire. When you are fixated on higher states of mind, you don't become enlightened. Votes: 0

To go beyond karma you have to end the structure of self. Votes: 0

You have all died many times before and none of you look the worse for it. Votes: 0

You can't die. Bodies come and go but your spirit is eternal. You're the stuff that life is. Votes: 0

We don't really remember where we came from, and we're not too sure about where we go to, if we are, after this thing we call life. Votes: 0

Death is a doorway. It is a very small, thin doorway and only a portion of our being can walk through. Votes: 0

Personal power is the ability to go into other planes, to cross that threshold from one dimension to another. Why do that? Because it is there to do; knowledge, power, and beauty lie in those other worlds. Votes: 0

Mystical powers develop primarily through the raising of the kundalini. The Kundalini is a type of energy that exists within all things. It's possible to pull that energy, to mass it, to transmit it. Votes: 0

Siddha powers are a type of occult power, but occult powers come in many shapes and forms. The Siddha powers that you most commonly hear about are things like levitation, telepathy, and astral projection. Votes: 0

You can lie to yourself and fool yourself and rationalize that the choice you're making is what is right and what is true and what leads to liberation, when it's actually only the fulfillment of desire. Votes: 0

In the light we can see what is and what is not. We know what is right and what is inappropriate. Votes: 0

When you are following dharma, you will be happy, at peace, still inside. There will be a sense of purpose to your life. Difficulties will not seem unconquerable. Votes: 0

Not to follow the dharma leads to disaster. Life will be unhappy. Votes: 0

Beyond happiness and unhappiness is truth. Truth is not affected by anything in the relative world. Truth is the unifying aspect of existence. Votes: 0

Begin with your daily life. Take your life as a challenge and try to bring yourself into harmony with each thing in your life. Votes: 0

Have a wonderful sense of humor, particularly about yourself and your own situation. Yet don't simply laugh. Work to change and improve things even though, at times, it seems impossible. Votes: 0

The future is certain for those who follow dharma. Those who don't follow dharma are pushed back again and again into the net of rebirth. They are drawn back to the same planes of attention, or lower. It could happen to you! Votes: 0

To realize the Self involves an action, it implies that there is something to realize, that there is time, a temporal world, and that Self is not yet realized, but will be realized by the actor through action. Votes: 0

There has never been anything but the Self. There is no world, there is no time, there is no place, there is no condition. There is nothing and there can be nothing else. Votes: 0

There is nothing but eternity. Eternity has always been and will always be. Votes: 0

There is no place to go and no one to be. Votes: 0

What is self? Self is the mind viewing itself. That's all. The mind stops viewing itself and turns towards infinity. There is no self, there's only infinity. Votes: 0

You cannot be born and you cannot die because you don't even exist ... in the sense that you think of existence. Votes: 0

While all the things you believe and know exist in their own right, they're ways of looking at existence, but existence is infinite - it's beyond all ways of looking. Votes: 0

The dream appears to be real. It does really seem we are here in this world; but this is not so. Votes: 0

At the end of the dream, on the other side of the rainbow, there's only light. Votes: 0

In that undifferentiated reality of the Self there is eternal bliss. All the phantoms of existence fade away. Votes: 0

It might seem that this knowledge is cold, devoid of emotion, empty. This is another illusion. Votes: 0

It is only when you have become that true Self consciously, when all these illusions have fallen away, that you will be perfectly free and perfectly happy. Votes: 0

If silence only conveys the Self, if all words and thoughts are illusions, why do we discuss it? Votes: 0

A perfect life is to observe - to realize that you have no control over the events in your life, that there are no events in your life, that there is no life. Votes: 0

You can enjoy the beauties of this world, as long as you remember this world doesn't exist. Votes: 0

You can enjoy the ideas of salvation, as long as you realize that there's no one to be saved. Votes: 0

Discrimination, viveka, means you know the difference between the transient and the eternal. That's what discrimination means in Shankara's yoga. Votes: 0

On waking from the dream, we see that birth and death, the sense of self, other - all of these things fade away. Votes: 0

Arjuna is a warrior of great renown, says he won't fight. He tells Krishna: I can't fight because I love these people. It's immoral. It's unjust. There's no winning. Votes: 0

Krishna says, fight. He says, go out in the battlefield and kill those people whom it's your job to kill. Votes: 0
